‘Not the easiest or most straightforward of starts to my tenure’

With six months now almost under our collective belts post a change of leadership at the club, and, with a well-deserved break from footballing matters upon us, I wanted to pen a personal thanks to everyone for their support, perseverance and hard work.

It has not been the easiest or most straightforward of starts to my tenure, but certainly an interesting baptism.

Lots of positive things are now happening across our great club, across all our age groups:

  • Membership is up with more teams than The Badgers have ever previously supported.
  • Volunteer numbers are on the up.
  • We have a flourishing resurrected girls squad.
  • We have provided whole club activities, to reconnect all Badgers, with more to come.
  • We are held in high esteem by the community that surrounds us, and one we support.

It has been a real privilege to meet so many coaches, grandparents, parents and players at training sessions and matches at our various venues. The challenge we now have is to maintain this current momentum, continue to improve internal and external communication channels, and most importantly find that new ‘home’ for the whole of the Badger Nation. My contact details are as below, if I can, I will always travel to meet, discuss concerns and find positive solutions to improve our collective offering to our amazing members and volunteers. Enjoy what time you have with your families over the festive period and thank you for a great 2017… here’s looking forward to 2018! #OnceABadger
