The Badgers Go Bowling

L&BBFC > News > The Badgers go Bowling

Saturday 24th March marked a first for the badgers, as the whole club came together to enjoy Ten Pin Bowling, at MFA Bowl, in St Johns Worcester.

With teams playing fixtures in the morning, squads came from far and wide to fill all 16 lanes with happy, smiling faces, with the majority of the club’s age groups and 22 teams donning black and white for a Badger show of force. Bowlers drawn from the clubs youngest U5 and U6 Boys Development Squad, all the way up to the U14 Borough, Palace and Orient squads, descended on St Johns, to bring some monochrome to the proceedings with over 100 club members providing a real feeling of just how popular Leigh and Bransford Football Club has now become. Until a new home for the whole club can be developed we will have to made do with social occasions to bring everyone together.

How great to see so many of the club’s squads supporting this event, with bowlers representing;

  • U7 Boys Development Squad (BDS)
  • U7 Girls Development Squad (GDS)
  • U8 Locomotive and Partizan
  • U9 Dynamo and Spartax
  • U10 Dons and Forest
  • U11 Hearts, Saints and Thistle
  • U12 City and Hibernian
  • U14 Borough, Palace and Orient

Add a sprinkle of a few siblings and MFA Bowl was packed, with the amazing well behaved, Badger Family.  Next opportunity to bring even more Badgers together will be the club’s end of season presentation day, on Saturday 16th June 2018, save the date Badgers full details to follow.
