Town and County Battle at Malvern Town FC
Right at the very core of what we see as important to our values, at Leigh and Bransford Badgers, is not just generating football squads, players and kicking the round ball around but, the ability to create enduring, lingering, positive opportunities and memories that will remain with our players long after any final whistle has been blown.
With the sun finally beating down on the Malvern Hills, one such opportunity took place, on Wednesday 18th April 2018. Courtesy of our new Partners Malvern Town FC, when our two U16 Badgers teams came face to face for Mercian Fortis League bragging rights. With a strong supporting crowd, U16 County and Town, delivered an admirably positive footballing fixture played in great spirit.
Both side battled from the first to last whistle, keeping the ball on the ground, a credit to their coaches Martin Coleman and Kevin Somers, to the Badgers but most importantly themselves. Bragging rights, on this occasion, went to County. Next time, let’s see.
